We're Married!!!

Mike and I are sitting here in paradise, still in shock that we are married and that our wedding was the best day of both of our lives. We are so happy we were able to share it with so many people that we love, and aside from a few small things that went wrong, we couldnt have asked for anything more, it was a fantastic day. Here are a couple of pictures from the wedding and the honeymoon, my husband is so handsome!!!

19 days

Until we are Mr. and Mrs. Fazio, we cant wait.

The weeks leading up to the wedding are so stressful, I have this unusual calm that whatever needs to be done, will get done, and whatever doesnt, isnt important anyway. We have had a lot of wedding festivities going on lately, my bridal shower, michaels guys trip this last weekend, a wine night with the girls this last Saturday, and this coming Saturday is our stateline turn around trip (which we are so excited for!). Its so fun to see how excited everyone is about the wedding, it is bittersweet because we know it will be here and gone in the blink of an eye, but we could not be more thrilled to be getting married, and even more so, 10 days in Mexico (aka Heaven). Its all finally coming together :o)

Hope to update as often as I can, no pictures right now, my computer is being too slow to upload, hope to get that fixed soon and share some. July 12th here we come!

30 days?!!

Holy Geezo. Seriously, how did time get away from us. I remember when I had a year to go before our wedding...and now its 30 days away?! There were so many things I thought I just "had to have" for our wedding, and now, as the time gets closer, and life is busy with other things, I realize how insignificant they were to begin with. I am not spending time on things people wont even notice or remember, its not worth the stress or the waste of my time. The most important thing to me on our wedding day is being there with all our friends and family, and enjoying the day the best that we can! I am sure its going to go by soo fast, so I am thankful for photographers and videographers!

The drywall was done on our house this week, Michaels sister (Nicole) did the inspection for us since we are in Cali, everything is a go as of now, the house is still on track and move in day is still set to be August. Its going to be such a whirlwind, the wedding, honeymoon, then moving out of state, then moving into a new home, we are so ready for it though. As crazy as it sounds to be moving out of Cali, we know it means the opportunity for a better life for us and for our future family, its just too expensive here, even on a nurses salary, which is so sad. All of my family is here, and I know the day I leave it will be so hard, but at the same time, its only a 5 hour drive/1 hour flight, and I have to just grow up and do it, I would be crazy not to take the change to move to Arizona. Who knows, maybe I will love it, maybe in a couple of years when the grandkids start coming, my parents will move, only time will tell.

We also got a puppy! He is not born yet, but scheduled to be here around late August, we cant wait! The breed is a Vizsla, the most well mannered dog ever. The kids I nannied for all through nursing school have one (and now 2 with the addition of Zoe) and I have never seen a dog behave so well with a 2 year old and newborn! Not to mention they are CUTE as can be and really active, which is great for Michael with his new addiction to fitness. (for those that dont know, Michael has lost 90 pounds in bootcamp, we will blog about that at another time, its a suprise for the wedding!). This is a picture of a Vizsla puppy! :o) We cant wait to get ours, I am sure we will gush about him daily and post tons of pictures, so here is just a sneak peak of whats to come!
I promise we will update this blog more often after the craziness is over...this wedding planning is hard work!

Frame Started

The frame on our house has been started, we are so excited! We hope to make a trip to Arizona in June to be able to see it, but between working and wedding planning, who knows! Good thing Mikes mom, Val, lives close by and is able to check up on it for us. Everything is coming along nicely and we cant wait to move.

This weekend was Tawny and Shawns wedding, and it was so beautiful. Mike and I had such a great time, it was so nice to catch up with old friends.

This picture is of Krista, myself, and Amy. I hardly ever see these girls so to spend time with them was so much fun. Its fun to catch up with people I havent seen in ages, not to mention the wedding was sooo beautiful, Tawny looked amazing!

Here is Mike and myself, after a few glasses in case you couldnt tell :o)
This was on the dance floor, after everyone had been overserved, Tawny (the bride) is towards the back, you cant see her dress here but she looked beautiful, and so did everyone in her wedding party!

The wedding is less than 7 weeks away, and we could not be more excited and anxious for it to be here already! Over 2 years of planning now, we both are just so ready. We are enjoying the last few weeks together as an unmarried couple, but cant wait to be married already! Our honeymoon is something we are really looking forward to, 10 days in paradise, its going to be heaven!!
Thats our update for now!

Construction Started

We got an email update from our builder that the construction of our home has began, which is so exciting and a little scary at the same time! Mike and I did put a lot on our plate at once, with myself starting a new career as a nurse, the wedding, moving out of state, and the purchase of a new home, but why not get it all over with at once, and be able to relax a little bit in 2009? 2008 has been a great year for us so far, a little stressful (to say the least), and there is so much more to look forward to this year :o)

Our invitations are all mailed out, whew! Thank goodness thats over. Seriously, they took SO long to finish, but the end result was so worth it, and we have recieved soo many nice compliments on them. Michael checks the mail daily, he is more excited about the RSVP's than I am! I think he takes them all out and recounts them every day. We also got our first wedding gift in the mail signed from "boot camp mom and dad" (aka Randy and Sarita). For those of you who dont know who Randy and Sarita are, the way they have changed our lives cant even begin to be described in one paragraph, so we will have to explain in depth later. They run a bootcamp called 805 bootcamp in Simi Valley, and are 2 of the most amazing people we have ever met and we are so lucky to have them in our lives!

The wedding is 8 weeks from today, yikes!!! It seemed like yesterday we had over 2 years until the wedding. Michael and I went back and forth with so many options, venues to have the wedding, we considered going out of state, out of the country even, possibly a destination wedding, but once we saw the venue we are getting married, we knew it was the one. We both fell in love with it equally, and could not imagine having it anywhere else. Everything is finally coming together, and now its just tying up loose ends and waiting for the next 8 weeks to fly by!

Thats it for now, today is a wedding list day, we have way too many things left to check off, and not enough hours in the day to do it!

77 days?

Where did time go?? We both are in such shock that our wedding is so fast approaching, it seemed like just yesterday we had 2 years to go! Being the planner I am, I had all these grand plans for our wedding...and now, its coming so soon, and time is running out! No matter what, the day will be the best day of our lives, and we are so excited for it to be here. We are especially excited about our Honeymoon, ten days in paradise, its going to be perfect!

A couple of days after our honeymoon, we are moving to Arizona, moving in with Val and Kent for a month, and starting our jobs in Arizona until our house is done on August 28th. Things are going to go and go so quickly, we want to really treasure this time with eachother and with our families here in California, and soak up the last of this amazing California weather before we head into the hellish heat of Arizona in August (we are crazy, I know).

Everything is on track, we are tying up loose ends with all of our vendors and finalizing our plans, I never realized how much work this wedding planning is!

{house update}

Talked to our builder yesterday, our house is coming along nicely, we have a conference call scheduled with him for next week! We cant wait to go to Arizona and see our house being built, and even more so when we move to Arizona in August and begin to make our house a home! We will be posting pictures as we have them, and updating the blog as often as we get updates on the house!

:::Edit::: Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see a photo of the exterior we chose!

Wedding Countdown

Yikes! Our wedding is 3 and a half months away...so much left to do and so little time! Michael and I have been busy working and saving as much money as possible, seeing as we have a wedding and a new house to move into shortly afterwards. I am looking into a second job at Simi Valley Hospital one day a week just to make some extra cash. We cant wait to move to Arizona to get somewhat of a routine and more consistency, our schedules right now are just crazy and we barely see eachother!

House Update: They have laid the concrete but thats about it. Our neighbors house is looking great, our builder provides every home buyer with their own website with the progress of their house including pictures, which is great for us since we are out of state and not able to visit as often as we would like. We are having fun thinking about paint colors and flooring and furniture, but are a little overwhelmed also with thinking about the financial obligations that come with owning a home. We know it will be worth it, but it will be a huge change for us seeing as this is our first home.

Thats all for now!

Jumping on the blog wagon

Our first blog post! Mike and I decided to start a blog as a way to keep our families and friends involved with our day to day lives, a place we can share pictures, stories, events, etc etc. Seeing as we will be married in just 4 short months, and living in our first home in 5 even shorter months (wait, did that even make sense??), our lives are going to get pretty crazy. Especially moving out of state from most of our family and friends, starting our life together in a new town, new jobs, all that fun stuff, we wanted a place everyone had access to as an easy way to get updates and keep in touch, so we hope you read our blog (aka online journal for the non-internet savey ones) and stay in touch with us! We promise to blog fequently if you promise to read it!! We also have set up an e-mail address to go along with, fazfam@yahoo.com.
